Exide Technologies Production Scheduler in Kansas City, Kansas

Overview

GNB a division of Exide Technologies is searching for an experienced full-time Production Scheduler. The Production Scheduler plans and establishes production schedules, monitors materials inventories, tracks progress of production, and reviews factors which affect schedules. Bachelors Degree in related field required with APICS CPIM certification or working towards certification along with 3 to 5 yrs production control or material scheduling experience.

Responsibilities

  • Schedule production throughout various departments as assigned.

  • Place materials orders in a timely and effective manner to support production plan.

  • Maintain accuracy with cycle counts, production reporting, scrap reporting and material receiving systems control.

  • Work closely with Production Supervisor’s to ensure product manufactured meets customer’s requirements.

  • Enter daily production accurately.

  • Post receipts of inventory and expense items daily.

  • Schedule transportation for shipments to meet vendor and customer’s expectations.

Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or 6 years of experience.

  • APICS CPIM certified or working toward certification

  • 3 – 5 years experience with production control or material scheduling

  • Working knowledge of materials planning and inventory control techniques

  • Strong computer skills in Windows (Excel and Access) and SQL and MRP System

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) a plus

  • Good record keeping , documentation and organization skills

  • Ability to problem solve and multi-task
