Exide Technologies JDA Demand Planner in Milton, Georgia
The Americas Demand Planning positions contribute to the success of the company by developing and maintaining Analytical and Consensus Forecasts using the JDA Demand Planner.
This position will engage with Sales, Marketing and supply planning to create, maintain and validate the Demand Forecast as well as other activities in order to maximize customer service and manage inventory levels.
Act as a point of contact for the Sales team, Customer Service and Branch Operations management in regards to the Demand Forecast. Provide feedback to assist teams in achieving customer service goals. Build relationships with business partners and develop a cadence for sharing information (promotions, special orders, new product launches, item transitions, etc.).
Proactively identify current and potential Forecast changes from customers by working with the sales team both formally in forecast review meetings as well as on an ad-hoc basis when changes arise that require immediate attention
Actively manage and maintain the JDA forecast. Validate the statistical forecast and tune the algorithms that drive the statistical forecast for alignment with reasonable expectations.
Maintain and validate Master data in JDA
Create, manage and maintain data views to support the consensus forecast process.
Work with the sales analysts and provide a point of view and challenge assumptions with data-based analysis.
Contribute to the Sales & Operations process, preparing for and actively participating in meetings.
Generate and maintain data on forecast accuracy. Effectively organize it to communicate to Demand planning manager and Senior Director.
Key areas for results include Forecast accuracy and an accurate representation of product transitions in the JDA planning system
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering or similar field.
Minimum of three years of work experience in demand planning in JDA
Very strong skills using Microsoft Excel to summarize, chart and communicate actionable insights from data
Strong business acumen and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels in the organization.
Responsive to customer needs and acts with a sense of urgency to provide feedback and resolve problems.
APICS certification or equivalent, desirable.
Travel limited (<20%).
