Exide Technologies Supply Planner - Industrial in Milton, Georgia
This position is responsible for Master Production Planning, Capacity Planning and Order Promising for select key segments of Exide’s Industrial business units. Assures optimal loading of plant capacity in support of key business objectives such as on-time delivery and finished goods inventory goals. This position reports directly to the Manager, Master Planning.
Develop a minimum 12 month rolling plant production plan based on forecasted and actual customer demand, considering macro/micro-capacity constraints and inventory targets. Make recommendations regarding significant increases/reductions in production.
Plan future capacity requirements and make recommendations when additional capacity is required.
Develop and issue SKU-level production orders to the plant.
Review customer orders (Industrial business segment) as they are received and apply achievable promise dates.
Track and monitor production and customer orders to insure that demand is met on-time. Communicate with the plants, customer service and sales to resolve issues.
Communicate with Sales, Customer Service and Supply Chain regarding the status of customer orders, quoted lead-times and availability of supply meet future opportunities.
Actively participate in the Sales and Operations Planning process, identifying risk, opportunities and providing inputs regarding strategy and process improvements.
Use Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to measure results and identify areas for improvement.
Drive and proactively facilitate solutions, working cross-functionally with other teams as required and fostering a positive working environment.

Education, Experience, Certification
Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Management or related discipline.
5-10 years planning, operations, supply chain or related experience.
CPIM (APICS) certification a plus.
Competencies, Skills, Knowledge
Working knowledge of supply chain planning, processes and systems.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. JDA and JD Edwards experience is beneficial.
Strong organization, time-management and communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical skills. Ability to see the bigger picture while applying analytical solutions to complex issues.
Ability to advance within the organization.
