The Branch Operations Manager directs all branch personnel (Warehouse Supervisor and staff, Coordinators, Drivers) and is responsible for all branch operations for both the transportation and industrial products and services divisions. This includes shipping and receiving, warehouse management, inventory controls, order processing, personnel management, and maintaining all branch quality to corporate standards. Will work within established policies, procedures, practices, and regulations.

Site leader to build and foster a culture of customer service excellence, safety and effiecieny
Manages all branch personnel including maintenance of staffing levels, employee relations and training as
Develops Customer Service Relatioships through timely order generation, telemarketing, and delivery in collaboration with District Sales Manager
Responsible for all logistic and facility costs: warehouse, trucks, drivers, payroll and other related expenses
Manages quality, inventory, receivables, warranty expense and financial controls aligned with company policies and procedures
Maintains cost per unit delivered to budgeted account. Ensures the branch is operating to its highest efficiency
Accounts for reverse logistics of battery scrap returns (cores) from customers and for product label inventory control and related product fill rate
Manages health and safety procedures, maintains delivery standards to promote a safe work envirionment and minimize risk
Ensures all commercial vehicles are operating within all federal, provincial and corporate guidelines
Ability to be hands-on with warehouse operation in all capacities
Reviews month end reports for branch from CMS and P&L’s supplied from corporate
Conducts and manages monthly safety, quality and operations audits and communicates performance satandards to the Finance Department and Regional Operations Director
High school diploma or general education equivalent (GED), Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Five to ten years related experience and/or training particularly in a management capacity or equivalent combination of education and experience
Forklift, Reach and First Aid certification, Dangergous Goods certification would be asset
Must have experience in managing midsized group with budgeting and cost containment
Must have experience with facility manangement approx.. 15,000 ft.
Good mathematical aptitude, previous budgeting experience preferred
Strong ability to multi task, handle stress and be proactive
Excellent customer service and problem solving skills
Knowledgeable in computer (Microsoft Word, Excel, JD Edwards preferred)
